Founded in 1885, American International College is a distinguished private, coeducational institution situated in the heart of Springfield, Massachusetts.
From May 2013 through October 2014, Western Builders proudly partnered with the college to complete five critical projects: The Admissions Office, Student Center Auditorium, Adams Hall/President’s Office, The Alumni Offices, and Griswold Theater. Despite tight schedules and the challenge of working primarily over students' summer and winter breaks, our team remained committed to delivering high-quality results. Each renovation brought its own set of unforeseen challenges, yet our resourceful approach ensured that every issue was addressed promptly and effectively.
In collaboration with Kuhn Riddle Architects, we took on the “summer slammer,” upgrading finishes, lighting, and mechanical systems for the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Offices. Even when unexpected structural conditions arose during the initial demolition phase, Western Builders rose to the occasion, completing the project on time and exceeding expectations. Through these efforts, we reinforced our reputation as problem solvers dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our work.
