How to Use the Building Connected Bid Board
The guide found below will help you navigate the BuildingConnected Bid Board so you can easily find and bid on upcoming projects.
Step 1: Access the Bid Board
- Visit the Jobs to Bid Page: Start by navigating to the "Jobs to Bid" page on the Western Builders website.
- Click on the BuildingConnected Link: You'll find a link to the BuildingConnected Bid Board. Click it to open the Bid Board in a new tab.
Step 2: Create or Log in to Your Building Connected Account
- New to BuildingConnected? Click on "Sign Up" and follow the instructions to create an account. You’ll need to provide basic information about your company.
- Existing User? Simply log in with your email and password.
Step 3: Navigating the Bid Board
- Browse Available Projects: Once logged in, you’ll see a list of available projects. You can sort or filter these by project name, location, or bid due date.
- Project Details: Click on any project title to view more details, including scope of work, project documents, and bid submission requirements.
Step 4: Indicate Your Interest
- Bid Response: If you're interested in bidding, click "I'm Bidding." If you're not, select "Not Bidding."
- Ask Questions: If you have any questions about the project, use the "Messages" section to contact the project manager directly.
Step 5: Submit Your Bid
- Download Documents: Download all relevant plans, specifications, and other documents from the project details page.
- Prepare Your Bid: Follow the instructions provided to prepare your bid.
- Upload Your Bid: Once your bid is ready, upload it directly to the Bid Board. Make sure to include all required documents.
Step 6: Track Your Bid
- Bid Status: After submitting, you can track the status of your bid from your BuildingConnected dashboard. You’ll receive notifications if there are updates or if further information is needed.
Step 7: Post-Bid Process
- Feedback: Once bids are reviewed, you’ll be notified of the outcome. If awarded the project, next steps will be communicated to you.
- Follow-Up: If your bid wasn’t selected, feel free to reach out for feedback or to discuss future opportunities.
